D’Shaun (@RYLDShaun) - "S’mores & Rumchata" (Video)
With the new year finally here & a fresh 11 months ahead of us, we are delighted to bring you new music from D’Shaun. The Texas native released only one EP in 2023 but he starts off 2024 strong with the release of “S’mores & Rumchata” as he gives fans both the official audio & visual.
D’Shaun gives listeners an insight to a brewing relationship with his female counterpart as he continues to lure her into his arms for more than just a one time fling. “I’m trying to hold on to your handles like a mountain biker/I’m trying to cuff you up & lock you like we rocked at rikers” spits the lyricist during the verse later adding “I rather treat you like a tow truck & get behind you/and know you fucking with the realest just a slick reminder”. The San Antonio artist makes it clear he isn’t around just for one night, doing so with his intentions of relaxing while making s’mores and drinking Rumchata. D’Shaun admits that the track pays homage to a relationship he had in which he says he was introduced to the “legendary combination of s’mores & Rumchata”. The single makes you gravitate towards it with a catchy chorus & its smooth production courtesy of Ro$eGold. Directed by D’Shaun himself and shot/edited by Andrew D Rose, the motion picture like visual showcases the relationship between the artist & his female counterpart with cameos from some of the RYLTY crew members.
“S’mores & Rumchata” officially begins the countdown towards the highly anticipated album CRWN that is set to drop next month. The album will be the first official project since the EP MDNGHT that D’Shaun dropped last February. “CRWN is raps, it’s a vibe it’s fun and it’s HipHop. Storytelling and all but in a RYL way” is how the man behind the rhymes describes the album. D’Shaun says this body of work will be his best release to date. Poor yourself some Rumchata with a side of s’mores & mark your calendar for February 20th.
