Cardi B (@iamcardib) - "AM I THE DRAMA?" (Album)
Cardi B is finally back with her long-awaited sophomore album. Titled Am I The Drama?, the project will be released tonight, through Atlantic Records. The album arrives more than seven years after her Grammy-winning debut Invasion of Privacy (2018) and comes with high expectations. Here is a complete guide to Am I The Drama?
A Long Road Back:
Since the release of Invasion of Privacy, Cardi B took extended time away from full-length projects. She devoted herself to motherhood, fashion, and television, while keeping her music career alive with massive singles. Tracks like “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion (2020) and “Up” (2021) topped the Billboard Hot 100, but her next album remained delayed. Cardi admitted she struggled with perfectionism and the pressure to follow up her record-breaking debut. Now, after six years of writing, recording, and fine-tuning, Am I The Drama? is ready.
The album’s title stems from both her personal experiences and internet culture. Cardi has openly said she drew inspiration from the real-life drama surrounding her career and personal life in recent years. She also referenced a popular RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars meme where Scarlet Envy quipped, “Am I the drama?”
Features and Collaborations:
The tracklist is packed with star power. Cardi worked with some of her closest collaborators and surprising new voices. The album features Megan Thee Stallion, Summer Walker, Selena Gomez, Kehlani, Lizzo, Cash Cobain, Tyla, Lourdiz, and even Janet Jackson, marking a rare collaboration from the legendary icon.
Standouts include “Dead” with Summer Walker, “Pick It Up” with Selena Gomez, “Safe” with Kehlani, and “Principal” featuring Janet Jackson.
Singles:
The album’s rollout has been steady and strategic. Cardi kicked off the new era with “Outside,” released in June 2025, which quickly went viral and earned her another Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. In August, she followed up with “Imaginary Playerz.” Ahead of the release, she also hosted a “Bodega Baddie” pop-up event in Washington Heights, connecting with fans in her New York hometown.
Little Miss Drama Tour:
To support the release, Cardi B will head out on the Little Miss Drama Tour in 2026. The 31-date North American leg kicks off on February 11, 2026, in Palm Desert, California, and wraps on April 17 in Atlanta, Georgia. - via inmusicblog
