Following the release of his impressive debut EP on Red Bull Records/EVGLE/211, Maryland’s breakout star Joony returned today with the Deluxe version of MEMENTO, featuring six brand new tracks. The lead single “I KNOW” marks the first collaboration between Joony and Grammy-nominated artist Blxst since announcing their label partnership last year. The duo teamed up on an accompanying music video out today, that shows how effortlessly their signature sounds blend together. On the Deluxe, Joony shares, “A memento is an object kept as a reminder or souvenir of a person or event. I wanted to take that concept a step further with the Deluxe EP and bring it full circle by expanding on the themes MEMENTO dove into.” The smooth new visual sees the DMV-bred crooner linking up with EVGLE’s head honcho across scenes in LA. Joony starts the sample-laced track with a heartfelt hook that showcases his vulnerability ahead of his bravado-filled first verse. Blxst follows up with equally confident bars, shouting out the duo’s recent partnership while also staking his claim as one of the best artists in the game.
