As teased, Theprinceofnc has released his new 10-track album, Confused and Devious. The album was released on June 26, with the previously released singles “Go Baby,” “Massacre,” and “Rayjean” serving as teasers. Listen to the full album, which clocks in at under 30 minutes, below.
Last year, Theprinceofnc was engaged to his then-fiancée when he came home from work and discovered she was cheating on him with one of her coworkers. A fight broke out, which ultimately led to his fiancée stabbing him in the back.
While the full credits have yet to be released, Theprinceofnc says, “The album is fully inspired by that dark time in my life when I would have never thought that the woman I proposed to would cheat on me, let alone stab me in the back.”
Theprinceofnc suffered a puncture wound to his back that nearly left him paralyzed.
The pop star’s album features songs such as “Pretty Vixen” and “Blood on the Floor,” which tell the story of what happened that night.
Theprinceofnc’s album rollouts are typically short, but the rollout for Confused and Devious caught fans’ attention, considering the stabbing incident had previously made the news.
