DDG (@PontiacMadeDDG) - "Hit-A-Thon" (Deluxe Album)
DDG is celebrating his birthday a little early with some new music. The multi-platinum rapper from Pontiac, Michigan, has dropped Hit-a-Thon (Deluxe), a deluxe version of his latest album released via Epic Records. It includes seven new tracks, one being his highly anticipated collaboration with Cash Cobain, "2 Much," produced by Hitmaka.
The deluxe version Spotlights DDG's collaborations. The album was created live from beginning to end as part of his viral series, where he makes an album live, and other artists such as 42 Dugg, Jacquees, K Camp, Trippie Redd, and Zeddy Will show up to contribute verses.
DDG has also dropped the music video for "Scrub Da Ground," featuring Bunna B. It takes place in a strip club as DDG throws money while a group of dancers performs behind him.
This new release follows a major accomplishment for DDG. "Hit-a-Thon" debuts at No. 141 on the Billboard 200, his second time appearing on the chart. The album also debuted at No. 46 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and No. 24 on its Top Rap Albums.
The album is a sequel to last year's live Hit-a-Thon event, which went viral. DDG once again capitalized on the spontaneity that made the first edition so great, with surprise appearances, viral moments, and an endless stream of highlights.
DDG has already crossed the 2 billion mark for global streams and received multiple RIAA-certified records. He has been featured in XXL and Forbes 30 Under 30, and Complex has named him "one of the most powerful streamers in hip-hop." DDG has done work in music, digital content, and culture. - via Yahoo Entertainment
